I leave in 2 weeks for my Christmas Markets tour. I’m hitting some big ones this year.
Last year, I wore a fleece zip up vest under my coat on most days to keep warm. On milder days, it was just enough to wear alone. Fingerless gloves made photo taking easier than having to remove my mittens each time.
A proper fitting hat is something I didn’t have last year. My cap was too small and kept exposing my ears to the cold wind.

Just wanted to say how much I love the info you share here. I’m still working on getting down to just a carry-on but I’m getting there with the help of your suggestions. I bought a Departure Blazer from Eddie Bauer last year and have been trying to get my hands on the Departure pants in the same colour. (I don’t look good in black so I went with Atlantic Blue) I think I may have finally found a pair (they sell out really fast!). My sister and I are heading for Europe next year and I’m working on getting her to downsize too!

In reply to Sandra. Get a really good waterproof coat from a reliable brand like Helly Hansen or North Face. If it’s rainy+cold, layer a fleece or packable down jacket under for warmth. Uniqlo does a good one.
