For the 2022-2023 season the Capital City Girls Choir is excited to announce new leadership to the program.
Mrs. Cameron Bolin, our new Artistic Director brings 15 years of teaching and choral directing from grades K-12 in the Triangle area. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts in Teaching in Music K-12 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is currently working on her Doctorate in Music Education from Boston University.
Most recently, Cameron served as the Upper School Choral Director, Musical Director, and Private Lessons Administrator at Ravenscroft, where she was honored with the Qubain Award for Teaching excellence. As a music educator, Cameron is passionate about teaching music literacy and infusing theory in her choral rehearsals.
As one of the first singers of Capital City Girls Choir participating for 9 years under the direction of Dr. Fran Page, she personally experienced the musical and personal impact of this group as a supportive community, and inspiration to herself pursue a music career over 20 years ago.
Mrs. Bolin is the first Artistic Director that is an alum of Capital City Girls Choir, and excited to continue the beloved traditions of the group while furthering the vision the excellence of music making and music literacy building community within our singers and families, including collaborative performances with Meredith College students, and opportunities both on and off campus.
Welcome back, Cameron Bolin! CCGC is looking forward to an amazing 35th Season under your leadership. CCGC also wishes a fond farewell to Lauren Saeger, our director for the 2021-22 season.
